Remembrance Day
In the commonwealth, we will be remembering those who fought and died in the line of duty while struggling for our country in the many wars to date. It is a special day to pay respect to those who sacrificed so much to uphold our freedoms as a country. We wear poppies as an emblem as these poppies grew on the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I and the bright red colour symbolizes the blood of the battlefield. This Nov. 11th we will be gathered to listen to the bagpipes and memorial speeches that come at this time of year and if you can, we suggest you do the same.
