Frank Ocean - Pyramids

SNL can be a disaster for an artist (see Lana Del Rey), as the stage is notoriously finicky when it comes to the sound of a live performance. However, some artists don't just defy that notoriety, they destroy it and have a performance that becomes the highlight of the show. On the weekend, Frank Ocean did just that, performing expertly crafted and stripped down versions of his songs Thinkin Bout You and Pyramids, both of which featured the guitar work of John Mayer. It was a performance that is sure to garner him new fans outside of those already familiar with Odd Future. Frank thought it apt, on the back of the Weekend's main stream coming out party (no pun intended) that he release a video for Pyramids. Incidentally, both tracks are off of his latest release, "Channel Orange," available now through iTunes.
