Crimean Pinecone Light

We don't know why exactly we are drawn to the Pinecone light by Russian designer Pavel Eekra. Perhaps because it is reminiscent of the famous Artichoke lamp by Poulsen, or perhaps because a large lit pinecone seems both absurd and natural enough to make sense. Made of 56 plates of natural veneer and no internal structure, the light escapes through the gaps creating a warm glow and distinct patterning. Found here.
