Zone One by Colson Whitehead
We have a love/hate relationship with horror especially on TV and films. It gets into our head and creates irrational and unfounded fears that we can't seem to shake. Quite honestly we thought we would be better reading about zombies and apocalypses etc. as we felt it would feel more removed somehow but we were wrong. Enter Colson Whitehead's amazing novel Zone One. We'll let you read the synopsis here but lets just say that this telling of quite a popular and common theme right now was so chilling, eery and emotional that we're still not rid of the anxiety and stress it left us with.
