Artist Debra Baxter

Artist and jewellery designer Debra Baxter has created some of the most beautiful and striking pieces of art made from crystals and minerals. After looking through her portfolio, you may not be surprised that she was influenced by Superman's Fortress of Solitude along with a myriad of other inspirations all of which have lead to her obsession with manipulating and celebrating the fragile yet indestructible nature of these materials. We are showcasing the crystal brass knuckles which was Baxter's look at the duality of the piece, the healing properties of crystals juxtaposed as a weapon. Funnily enough creating this piece led her to launch her own jewellery line which we love as well called DB/CB. More photos after the break.
