Papercuts

We've obviously been pretty inspired lately by artist's manipulating mediums in unusual ways and Peter Callesen is another fine example of this. Working mostly with white A4 paper, he creates unusual, tragic, romantic sculptures with fine and intricate cuts. He plays with the negative spaces left after the cutouts are made and creates art that looks like it's subject matter is often escaping or at the very least tricking us to have a closer look.
