The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - 8 minute trailer

We have to admit...we're fans of the book, which is why we were disheartened when we heard that Hollywood was giving a movie adaptation a go. Generally, Hollywood's adaptation of a great novel would have all sorts of script changes (that are usually ridiculous and don't aid the story), and are rife with A-list casting (that have more to do with box office appeal rather than casting who's best for the part). Call us skeptical, but we've been burned before...many, many times. We are happy to report however, that we are far less reluctant and skeptical of this adaptation having seen the 8 minute trailer, which appears to follow the story almost word for word. That, and the moody and edgy look to the film help as well. We haven't seen it however (out December 21st), so this is not so much an endorsement but a prodding by us for you to watch the above trailer (full screen of course), and maybe not pre-judge it so hard as we have been doing since it's announcement. Oh and have we mentioned that Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross worked over a year to create an impressive 39 song soundtrack for this adaptation?
