Ai Weiwei - Forever Bicycles

What an awesome and formidable art installation...it's just too bad the artist himself can't attend. Weird how a super power the size of China, one with the largest military in the world, is frightened of one little man doing art. Showing currently in Taiwan, the show is aptly titled "Absent." For those who don't know, Ai Weiwei was unjustly imprisoned as he is perceived as a political threat to the Chinese one party system. He has since been released, but is being kept on a very short leash to be sure. And if, in the coming weeks, the Hipsubscription goes offline, you know who to blame.
