We don't really condone making your own wine. We have yet to try a really strong showing of someones home made vino. That being said, we've tried some pretty spectacular home made beers. There is something in beer that makes the transition from professional producer to DIY'er a little more graceful. If you're interested in kicking up your home brew a notch, the gang at Brooklyn Beer shop have it covered. They provide one gallon and five gallon kits, and come in a variety of tasty flavours such as Everyday IPA, Peanut Butter Porter, Honey Sage Seasonal and Rose Cheeked Blonde.
